POSTING FORUMS - XPG's forums have been developed for clarity, and are easily understood by those writing within then, and also by those who are reading them. Some of our more unique approaches to forum-posting include colour coding, personalizied settings, and the ability to add related characters and players to a 'tagged' list to bring important posts to their attention. Also, features such as pop-up info, hotlinks, live summaries, and lockable threads add to the quality of forum posting.
Another feature which XPG is especially proud of is our automated rollover system; a system that has become widely used in many RPGs today, it was originally introduced by XPG!. And in the same spirit as our Live Tag and Rollover systems, XPG will be introducing a new feature called TAG/REPLY to allow those 'Tagged' to seemlessly weave their replies into those of others.

INTERACTIVE MAPS - to enhance the immersion of players into the game, XPG offers detailed and interactive floor plans of the Institute. This includes all three floors, and the basement/base of operations for the X-Men. Laid out in these floor plans are things such as classroom locations, Boy's and Girl's Dorms, and even room assignments for each character! For a closer look at our maps, please look HERE. CEREBRA - Just like Cerebro, Cerebra is programmed to identify mutants, especially those played by our members! Within our Cerebra database you can search using a number of criteria, including keywords, character status, location and more to find character or group of character bios (Stats, pictures, histories, recent and past posts and even their 'theme song'). Helpful attributes found in Cerebra; an excellent level of interactiveness, its 'live' features (Which will update any adjustments made to the character into any mentioned instances of the character), and the fact that it always shows the last ten threads a character has been in, plus more! PLAYER BIOs - Aside from Character bios, we also have Player bios which help each player get to know whom they are playing with, how to contact them without exposing their details to non-site members and helping to build a stronger sense of community with the XPG playership. Essentially, they are used to find out who is played by whom, and who each player is. You can see one HERE
INTERACTIVE TIMELINES - Did the Washington Mission come first? Or, did Operation Silent Hurricane? With XPG's interactive timelines, important dates and story arcs are plotted out and easy to read so that after a lengthy character life, facts are checkable and stay in order. AUTOMATED BIO FORMS - These in-depth forms help to created well-formed and flushed-out characters. Each character is laid out in an easy to understand format that makes creation more than just a code name and a nifty trick or two; is your character an Old Hand, or is she a Bon Vivant? Is he a thinker, or a hitter? Not sure, ask a moderator; each bio form contains a player and storyteller 'note' section for easy collaboration between applicants and mods. CHARACTERS - Players are allowed up to five (5) active characters in play on XPG. Your first character must be a Featured Character (FC) A FC is a character who has appeared either in one of MARVEL Entertainment's periodicals (Comic books). Once you have met your 30 day waiting period, you may apply for an additional character. This may be either FC or an Original Creation (OC). For each OC you have, you MUST have an FC. As noted, we allow up to five (5) characters per player, so this means you may have up to five (5) FC's, but no more then two (2) of your five characters my OC's; Character allowances are subject to meting and maintaining character posting requirements.
