DAZZLER: Dazzler opened up her e-mail and smiled brightly. A friend of a friend of a friend had sent her the link to the directors edition of Inception. The director had posted the movie on a coded site and had sent it to a few friends to review before releasing it to the main stream audience.
A favor or two later and she'd gotten her hands on the codes and links needed to get the picture up and running.
The song writer had gotten so excited she'd nearly burst into bulbs of color. She'd wanted to go out and see the movie, but she normally got identified by fans and it made the whole experience public. The last time Ali had been out to a movie she'd not dressed up to hide herself and had photographer's follow her for an hour. Luckily none had made it back to the mansion!
Flipping open her phone she text Alex. Longshot had been gone for a month and a half with no word from him. Not a text, letter, e-mail or call had come from him. His memory was a sting, but no longer as painful as it had once been. A large part of that was due to Alex's focus on her.
The past month Alison had worked hard to deny that she was finding Alex more and more attractive. Whether or not Alex was realizing how Ali was feeling was unknown to her. It wasn't until last night that she'd found herself close to wanting to kiss the boy.
Looking at her phone she quickly typed in ::Alex, you won't believe what I got my hands on!! Come to the Theater - this is going to ROCK!::
Shutting the phone Ali raced to the movie theater with her lap top. Plugging all the cords into the proper ports she started up the site. The site appeared on the huge movie screen below her. It was amazingly clear.
Having a second thought on the alone time with Alex, Ali opened her phone again. She paused at that moment. She would love to spend some time with Alex alone… but… if he didn't like her that would mean that she was setting up something that looked a lot like a date.
You are acting like a 12 year old, Ali told herself. Be cool. Just invite other people. Hang out later, but don't waste a good find on just one person! Besides, it's Alex - he probably doesn't want to hang out alone anyways!
With that Ali sent out a text to several people. ::I have the Directors Cut of Inception! It's kinda legal - anyway, come to the theater and see it!:: With that Ali sent it to almost everyone in school including: Monet, Jubilee, and Iceman.
Then she went down a found a nice comfy seat to sit back and watch in.

POWERHOUSE: It was particularly balmy for a summer evening, even for the middle of July. Following a brief dinner – brief only because he hadn’t had much of an appetite – Alex had made his way out to what had become his new ‘thinking spot;’ he’d had to find a new one because his old one by the lake had evidently become a popular summer hot spot, thus making it not nearly as private as he would prefer. Instead he now found solace in the solitude that bridge in the Japanese gardens provided readily.
He really had no other choice than to be alone at the moment, particularly considering that he wasn’t comfortable talking to other people about himself, his feelings, his problems. Compounding things even worse was the fact that the one person he had opened up to and developed that kind of comfort was now the problem. Well… really he was the problem, she was more the catalyst.
Alex took a drag from the lit cigarette between his lips. It tasted like ass. He hadn’t changed brands. He rolled them the same as he always had: Same amount, same style, same cut. But now, they just tasted different… and not good different. Disgusting different.
The foul taste still lingering in his mouth, he returned his attention to his iPod. Not that he’d listened to a complete song yet in the twenty-plus minutes he’d been there. He knew every song note for note and on average only got into the first minute at best before either moving on to the next that came to mind to play and making a decision whether or not to add the song to a slowly building playlist. Every so often he’d scan through the list and pluck out a song for deletion or to shift around in the order.
Another drag… same miserable crap taste. He blew out the smoke in a gusty waft almost as quickly as he could manage and tamped out the roll and its ember on the wooden handrail.
Looking over the playlist once more it finally hit him exactly what he was doing. Why he’d been so quick to remove “Little Lion Man” and replace it with another Mumford & Sons song that felt a little less personal. You cliché bastard! You’re making her a playlist? What next… you going to track down obsolete technology and record her a mixtape? It was why he’d subconsciously axed Erasure’s “A Little Respect” – even though it was a song that Alison had some absurd love for – because it… had certain lyrics that seemed to blow overly forward to complete smithereens.
With full recognition of what this task had covertly been Alex took another discerning look over the contents. It opened up with a little Feeder, then a Cut Copy track called “Where I’m Going,” then a more obscure Unkle Bob song. There were an assortment of classics mixed in too: Otis Redding, Lennon, Mary J. Blige, the Police. Along with some more random John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Randori, and a Switchfoot song that even Alex felt like a total schmuck for having in the iPod at all, but the damn lyrics had held significance to him of late.
A noise of different kind chirped at him… an incoming text message… from Alison.
::Alex, you won't believe what I got my hands on!! Come to the Theater - this is going to ROCK!::
Well, this of course could be anything. And considering that Alex was utterly convinced that Alison had – for any number of justifiable reasons, not the least of which was his age – forever exiled him to the dreaded friend zone. And while climbing out of those recesses was surprisingly easy when all you wanted to do was ball a girl at the expense of the friendship, but this was pretty much the opposite of that scenario. As a result, Alex, even if he could, had no clue how to… how exactly are you supposed to flirt to show romantic interest anyway?
Damn it! You need to stop thinking about this stuff. She doesn’t think about you like that. She won’t think about you like that.
But what was he going to do… avoid her entirely? No. Even if he tried he knew he’d fail miserably at that. Alex was just going to have to exercise control, fight the urge to gently brush a renegade strand of hair back behind her ear if it fell. Or to kiss her if the opportunity presented itself. It would be wrong… and only lead to drama and trouble and… right?
::On my way.::
He sent the return-text so quickly he didn’t even have the chance to realize how desperate he thought it made him sound. Panic mode set in. He needed to send something else… something more, to save face.
::Just need to stop by my room and change first.::
There you go, Power. Now you’re not rushing in there like a begging puppy. And you’re not going to come in stinking of smoke either…
Wow! He was actually concerned about that too?

DAZZLER: Ali was sitting in the large theater alone. She lounged back with one leg over the chair in front of her. She wore a white tank top and cut up jeans. Her converse were red and black checkered with a whole worn through the top of the right foot. They were old and dirty, but so comfortable! Her hair had been streaked with red stripes and on her ears dangled lightning bolt earrings.
Today was a good day. Though her single had gotten bad reviews she'd found on her fan sites that people were actually digging the new tunes. Sometimes it seemed that the professional reviewers didn't have their thumb on the heart beat of the fans.
And it's the fans I want to like me! Ali thought happily.
Looking down at her arm she felt the desire to get another tattoo. Some people got hair cuts or new clothes when they came out of depressions. Ali got tattoos. On her arm she focused her powers and made little glowing symbols along her wrist. A hazy green star, a blurry purple Anarchy symbol and then a shining orange music note.
It could go with the rest of her small and strategic tattoo collection.
Maybe Alex would want to go with me, Ali thought aimlessly. She paused and dropped her head in slight frustration with herself. How about not thinking about Alex for ten minutes? Possible, Pop Star?
That duration only lasted for another two minutes as her phone buzzed Kountry Gentleman in her pocket.
[POWERHOUSE] ::On my way. Just need to stop by my room and change first.::
She looked at the words and pondered into her reply, ::Why are you changing? This isn't a formal occasion! Just get your ass down here!!::
There was something refreshing about having a friend she could be bluntly honest with. Alex never seemed to mind when she gave him a hard time, just as she never minded when Alex poked fun at her.

SMOKE: Smoke was still a little hyped about the training earlier in the day, when he heard some students talking about going to the theater for a screening of inception. He stopped for a moment and inquired about what they were conversing about, and after getting the details he decided that he would make an appearance. He needed something to help him wind down after all of the excitement. Looking over his attire, he decided that he did not really have to change just to see a movie. He figured that his jeans and tee were as good as anything else he had in his closet.
Grabbing a small soda bottle from the cafeteria, he made his way to the theater to see what all the hoopla was about. As he walked through the theater entrance, he was surprised to see that not a lot of people had shown up yet. “Yes I get my choice of seats.” he said to himself as he walked up an aisle and caught sight of Dazzler out of the corner of his eye. “Hey…hope you don’t mind that I decided to crash.” he said with a smile as he took a seat one row behind her. “How did you manage to get this movie anyway?” Just then he looked down as he saw the Wild Child creeping in to the theater. He had only seen the boy in passing once or twice in the hallway, but he seemed like a nice enough kid. “Hey…come take a seat up here. It has the best view of the screen.” He knew that it may have seemed a bit odd, but he figured that he would at least extend the hands of friendship.

WILD CHILD: Kyle was walking along the edges of the lake as his phone began to vibrate in his pocket. Reaching a hand into his jeans, he retrieved the phone and opened it up to see who was texting him. He saw the text informing him of a movie that was to be shown in the theater. Taking a moment to think about it, Kyle decided that maybe it would do him some good to relax and watch a movie with the rest of the student body. He quickly flipped the phone closed and made his way back up the path toward the mansion.
It did not take long before Kyle found himself back inside and on his way toward the theater. He had only been there once or twice before, seeing as watching movies was not really his thing. However, he decided that he would watch this movie from start to finish…no matter how good or bad it was. Upon reaching the theater, Kyle was shocked as he was greeted by Michael and asked to sit near him. He had not really heard much about the boy, but he did hear that he had a somewhat flaky attitude. This made him hesitant to accept his invitation to join him. However, he decided to give the boy a chance and take a seat. He climbed the aisles and waved a hello to Dazzler as he took a seat behind her, next to Michael. “Names Kyle!” he said as he stretched out a hand to Michael. “Nice to meet ya…so what is this movie about?”

JUBILEE: *Bzzz… Bzzz… Bzzzz
Jubilee jumped towards her dresser and touched the screen on her new cell phone. Over the summer she had gotten herself a new cell phone as the other one she had kind of broke on her. So, Jubilee was going to make sure to charish this one. She was so going to take care of this phone better than the other one she had. Yes siree!!!
When the phone lit up it told her she had just received a text message… From Ali… One of her best friends in the whole world! Jubilee's eyes shimmered with happiness to see that her friend texted her. She opened the message, only to become more excited.
~:: Hecks, yeah… I'm so there. Give me a sec… K?
♥ Jubes::~
And with that Jubilee pressed the send button and raced through her room and out the door. She was wearing a bikini top and daisy dukes. The firecracker had planned on taking a swim in the pool before receiving the text message. But it seemed now that she had a change of heart. Inception was the movie she wanted to see since the commercials of it came out. She heard, well more like read off of Internet message boards, that the movie was excellent. A total mind blower!
Coming into the Theater Jubilee easily spotted Ali, and two others. Michael and Kyle. Jubilee let a smile stretch across her face as she made her way up to the three. "Hey… What's up?" Jubilee greeted everyone. "How did you get this movie! And how is it 'kinda' legal? The movie is still in theaters."

DAZZLER: When the doors to the theater opened Ali sat up straight and turned. She hoped it was Alex who came through the door, but it was Smoke - the kid she'd played Cops and Robbers with earlier in the day. Today had been the first day she'd gotten to really meet Michael and that had been through an X-Men work out.
A twinge of disappointment went through her as she realized Alex wasn't there yet. Though she'd invited half the school with her text she had hoped to have a few minutes alone with Alex. Maybe I Shouldn't have invited everyone, she thought, but then mentally shook her head.
No, this is better. He won't think I'm hitting on him like some cougar or something. Besides, this movie is suppose to be amazing and I shouldn't hog it!
"Yep, any seat in the house is yours," she said to Michael as he sat behind her. She turned in her chair and put her knees in the seat. Grinning wickedly she gloated a little, "The Director, Chris Nolan, has a slight self esteem issue and so he secretly posts his movies out on an exclusive website to have his close contacts look at it first. You know, to stroke his ego so he has the balls to show his stuff to the studio. Well, a friend of a friend happen to get the codes to release the movie to me! And I," she said dramatically, placing her hand over her heart, "am sharing my good fortune with all of you!"
For the third time in what seemed like minutes the door flew open. This time Ali didn't look up. She figured Alex wasn't going to be in a hurry and didn't want to get her hopes up that he had walked through the door.
"Hey Jubilee," Ali said and waved the girl over. Instead of explaining again how she had gotten the flick into her hands she just shrugged and said, "I got some connections. It's technically not illegal how I have it, it's just not exactly authorized. Anyway, it's all good. We can give a few more people a few more minutes and then I'll start it!"
She stuck out her tongue to indicate she was only pretending to be a diva. The door opened to the theater again and Ali felt her heart jump again. Nope, not Alex. This time it was Wild Child. Someone she had made an attempt to say hello to every chance she'd gotten. Since the Maurders Ali had been grateful to everyone who had been on the mission for getting everyone out alive.
"Hey," she said. When Kyle asked about the movie Ali jumped in to explain. "People that steal information in people's dreams. I haven't seen it, but the previews look amazing! So much better than the Freddy Krueger thing!"

SMOKE: Smoke had a huge smile on his face as Jubilee came into the movie theater. He had not seen her since she showed him a small version of her powers out in the gardens a while back. It was good to see a friendly and familiar face. “Hey how have you been.” he said as he uncapped the bottle of soda that he had taken from the cafeteria. He took a small sip before recapping it and continuing his conversation. “I have not seen you in a while. It is good to see that you are doing well.”
Kyle remained a little antsy about the movie experience, but was happy to see that Dazzler was doing well. He was happy that all the members of the Sinister abduction were pretty much back on their feet. He smiled as she told them about the way she managed to get the movie that they were about to see. After the premise of the movie was explained to him, Kyle laughed for a moment. It was a laugh out of disbelief, not disrespect. “You would think with all the people in the world who hate mutants who can do such things, they would not have made a movie about people with the hopes of doing those same things.” He continued to laugh for a brief moment before he was interrupted by Michael.
“Yeah it just goes to show you that this world is a little messed up in its way of thinking.” Michael looked towards Dazzler as a thought popped into his head. “Um…Dazz…who all did you invite to this thing? Or are we the only ones coming?”

POWERHOUSE: Walking conundrum, thy name was Alex Power.
There was such a thing as ‘dressing up’ for Alex, that point had never been argued. But even his casual clothes were still on the pricey end and not those kind of garments where you spent extra for them to come pre-trashed and roughed up.
This is what made the reply text message that he received from Alison while changing in his room all the more complicated to deal with. Not a formal occasion? That could mean anything, but he’d gone and thoughtlessly brought up that he was changing so now if he showed up over-dressed he was going to look particularly foolish.
Jesus! Will you listen to yourself? You sound like a girl! Well… you could try and save face and say that you were showering.
No, if you did that and didn’t actually shower, you’re setting yourself up for failure. She’ll be able to smell whether or not you’ve showered… and you haven’t.
:: Jeez! Can’t a guy get comfortable?
He’d almost snuck in a ‘… or are you jonesing that badly for me?’ at the end, but quickly rebuked himself as that had been exactly the type of game he’d have spit to try and get in any other girl’s pants. Then he rebuked himself again for feeling as though he should treat her different than any other girl. You’re not supposed to like her, Power. That’s overstepping your bounds.
Finally settling on a blue and white plaid western-cut shirt left unbuttoned over a dark khaki wifebeater, faded boot cut jeans, and black on black Ducati-inspired PUMA sneakers – sadly, the ‘cheapest’ actual shoes that Alex owned – he made his way from the dorm to the theater, reaching the site just in time to catch an unfamiliar male voice in mid-speech.
OK… so we’re obviously not going to be alone. Not that that should be a big deal, right? Right?
[SMOKE] “Um…Dazz…who all did you invite to this thing? Or are we the only ones coming?”
“You know, I was just about to ask the exact same question,” Alex crowed with a (completely feigned) confident smile across his face, making his way down the aisle from the door at the back. It was hard enough trying to act like himself, while at the same time acting like he didn’t have the feelings for Dazzler that he didn’t want to admit he had… but now to have to do so in front of other people.
Fuck! He was no way prepared for this and was reverting a bit to his old cocky flare as a defensive mechanism.
Strolling nonchalantly into the same row as Alison – still undecided exactly how wise a decision that was to make – Alex stood giving her a once-over, not yet taking a seat.
“And don’t ever speak poorly of Chris ‘By-God’ Nolan,” he said, as he rather forwardly ran a pair of fingers through one of the red streaks in her hair, just above her ear, “that man is this generation’s Coppola.”
Sensing that perhaps he was putting on a bit more of a scene than he would have preferred, especially in front of an individual he was not familiar with, Alex chose this as a necessary moment to make introductions. He leaned forward toward the row behind, offering the same hair-brushing hand to the dark fellow therein.
“Alex Power… and you?"
However, in his hasty lean Alex had also managed to do so enough across Alison that the guitar-pick necklace hanging freely around his neck entangled itself with one of her lightning bolt earring… and in such a way that neither piece of jewelry appeared ready to separate without a fight.
“The earrings might be a bit… ugh.” He eased back as he felt no more give both on the lanyard choker around his throat and the hook in Ali's ear. “Well… I guess big and more than just attention-grabbing seems appropriate.”
"What can I say?,” he said with a placating smile to the others behind them. "Normally it’s just her hands that this one can’t keep off me. Guess we've moved into the jewelry stage too."

SMOKE: “The name is Michael…” he said as he was about to extend a hand to Alex, right before he made a scene with the accidental jewelry entanglement. It seemed that the guy was trying way too hard to do whatever it was he thought he was doing. An eyebrow raised as Michael looked at the ruckus he made as he and Dazzler tried to untangle their adornments.
"Normally it’s just her hands that this one can’t keep off me. Guess we've moved into the jewelry stage too."
“Give me a break.” Michael mumbled to himself as he began to grow tired of the new boy’s personality. He did not know why, but the guy kind of struck him as fake. He looked over to both Kyle and Jubilee as he tried to avoid looking at Alex. This guy is very strange. he thought to himself throughout the entire situation. “Uh…so Kyle what’s shaking? You seem a little quiet over there…not having fun yet?” He was only joking with the other young man. He was not trying to antagonize him in any way, he just needed something to occupy his mind until either more people come in or the movie began.

WILD CHILD: Kyle had been busy staring at Alex and Dazzler’s jewelry entanglement, when all of a sudden he found himself being addressed by Michael. He turned the other young man with wide eyes, and the look of bewilderment on his face. “No…no…I am fine. I was just in my on world for a second, but everything is one hundred percent okay.” Kyle sank slightly down in his seat as he looked once at Jubilee, and then turned his attention back toward Alex. Out of everyone in the school, Alex puzzled Kyle the most. He had only really seen him twice, and neither times did he get a real good impression of him. The boy seemed to be very confrontational at times. However, now he was just awkward.
Kyle yawned as he had begun to grow bored waiting on the movie to start. Although he was not accustomed to sitting in a theater and watching a movie, he was sure it had to be more exciting than this. He glanced over at Jubilee and smiled before closing his eyes and retreating back into his own world. He listened to the others around him as they went on doing whatever it was that kept their attention at the time. Hopefully something exciting would happen before he fell asleep.

DAZZLER: A small, intimate gathering of people Ali barely knew was alright. Not quite what she had been expecting, but she could roll with this. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits and getting along. There was only 4 of them, but that was enough.
Opening her mouth to inform Kyle that she'd invited anyone that was interested, Ali was stopped by the theater door again. Alex had arrived before his text message, which was now vibrating in her pocket.
That was when the scene got awkward. Not just for Alex, whom should have experienced the most discomfort from the situation, but for everyone in the room.
From his cubic zirconia grin to his overly friendly gesture. Alex isn't Alex. What the hell is wrong with him? Ali thought frantically. Her brow furrowed in confusion as she watched him, then was entangled in him.
The pic she had given him that he was wearing around his neck was caught in her earring. It took a few moments for the pair of hands to untangle the two and the whole time Ali could feel her face burning crimson.
What the hell is he doing!? Ali thought infuriated. Had he not been such a jackass and blamed her for their embarrassing entanglement she'd be touched he was wearing the pic and hadn't lost it in his room. Then to make the ridiculous joke that she couldn't keep her hands off of him!
Did he get my journal or something?! she thought bewildered. It was one thing to have a crush on someone who was off limits for so many reasons, but it was another for that person to smear it in her face and tease her for it.
Quickly moving from her seat she offered, "Let me go press play on my Mac. It'll be up in just a second." Then Ali bolted as fast as she could down the aisle and up to the control room.
Clicking the proper buttons the film started just at the introduction credits and first scene. DiCaprio in an office setting offering his services to that Asian guy. Turning down the lights for the group, Ali gave herself a moment to compose herself before attempting to rejoin the group.
Do I sit next to him? she wondered. If I don't then I leave him alone on the aisle. If I do go sit next to him will it just tell everyone what apparently everyone seems to know?! Why the hell is Alex rubbing it in my face that he knows I like him. Damn him for being such an asshole!!
Deciding she'd simply return to her seat - the one she'd claimed long before anyone had entered - it would look as though the situation hadn't bothered her. She'd play it cool until after the movie when she could strangle Alex!

ICEMAN: Bobby had been napping since training. Getting up into gear was new to him. He was however determined to be one of the prime X-men from now on. How training went was really up to Wolverine and the others to evaluate. He had done his best.
He woke up from the text Ali sent him and he was on! Inception sounded like a mix of the Caprica-series with a base of being set in another reality. It was going to be awesome, Bobby thought. Not replying to her text, Bobby had only been in his boxers while under the covers, but got up, put on an X-sweatshirt to state his seriousness about his decision to be… more. A pair of jeans, shoes and went to his snack cabinet and took out a party sized pack of Skittles with every flavor there ever was to be had.
With that and a bottle of water, he left for the theater.
He arrived to greet Alison. she looked upset. "Hey Alison? Are you ok? you look, well, not like you really want to see this movie right now?" he asked.
He followed her inside and took a seat next to hers. He took a look around. *Oh no! Not that… * Bobby didn't even know what to call Michael, but he'd pissed him off once and attacked him when he defended the fact that they were nothing like the marauders, that they were actually different and… Bobby got mad just thinking about it. This guy had the nerve to do about anything anywhere. No filters! Ali had actually invited this guy?! Well, Kyle was there too. He could be a little childish, but it seemed to root in his mutation and of course Alex was there as well, but why weren't they sitting together? Was everything ok? Bobby never bothered with the fact that she was an international superstar - to him, she was just an average mutant that demanded no special treatment. And that seemed to suit her just fine.
Jubilee was there too. She hadn't really made any real bonding with him, but that was ok. She was just a kid, and he was entering adulthood.
He looked to the screen, opening the Skittles, offering the bag to Alison. "You want some?" Bobby asked quietly…

POWERHOUSE: Wow! Get your ass with the program, fuckwad! Powers do not get ‘awkward’ in social settings.
Even as he thought them, the last sentence rang in Alex’s ears… err… skull. Not even so much as that those words were his own as when he heard them in his head, he heard them as they had previously been spoken by his father.
The dark one, Michael, went from standard introduction to pissy and spoiled at the drop of a hat. Alex’s brow furrowed a bit as he gave him a legitimately unsure look.
[SMOKE] “Give me a break…”
Muttered or not, Alex was hardly a few feet from the kid so it wasn’t as though words spoken under breath were inaudible. What a titanic prick! Alex’s introduction had been genuine. Sure, maybe he was a little bit out of sorts because of extenuating circumstances, but he’d been willing to give the other kid the benefit of the doubt. He was showing growth. Besides, news of this Smoke’s little run-in with Drake had run rampant through the school and Alex was well aware how Bobby could easily rub people the wrong way, so he for one wasn’t holding it against Michael… until now.
He’s making me actually agree with Drake? Damn him.
Okay so maybe he didn't have any truly huge beef with Bobby; it was just that the guy hit on anything with two legs and a set of tits. Maybe Alex could empathize, but Iceman just seemed to frustrate him for the same reason Jubilee did… he just seemed so blasted immature.
And being rather stuck for the moment in the position that he was in while he and Alison untangled him from her… or her from him, Alex was left to turn for some sense to the last person he’d ever have expected to… giving Jubilee a looked that seemed to ask ‘Is this guy serious?’ He felt warmth as, in process, the back of his hand brushed Dazzler's cheek… but it was immediately recognized as not the ‘good kind’ of warmth.
Congratulations! You’re barely here two minutes and already you’ve managed to aggravate nearly everyone in the room… including the only person you care about.
Alison it seemed couldn’t get up and out of her seat quick enough as soon as she was freed. And even as she started the movie playing, she took her time returning to her seat – seeming tentative about even reclaiming the seat next to him.
Alex’s stomach twisted into a pretzel and his heart sank as his body couldn’t seem to make its mind up whether it was cold or hot – it was just uncomfortable. He’d fucked up. He knew it. And there was no going back. He’d not known how to act but he now knew that the way he did was certainly the wrong way… but it was all he had known.
People just didn’t get it. Hell, he didn’t get it. He sank into his seat, slouching, and miserably pissed off at himself as his arm closest to Alison instinctively drew away and sought refuge across his chest. Not that he had experience in that particular area, but he felt like a child that had just dropped the ball on his parents that he’d failed all his classes.
Matters were helped even less when Drake arrived his typical 'casually late' and took the seat on the opposite side of Alison and appeared to be getting chummy. Though the thought didn’t cross Alex’s mind, Kyle could probably smell his discomfort and angst in the form of invisible pheromones that bordered somewhere between aggregate, territorial, and alarm as though they couldn't make up their mind. Either way signaled extreme and sudden discomfort with situation… in a word 'jealousy.'
To think, I really wanted to see this movie. And now I’m never going to be able to appreciate it or care enough to pay attention.

OOC: He's just in a weird place, Pia; nothing personal against Bobby. And Golden, it doesn't happen intentionally but you'd be surprised how often it does happen on legitimate accident since I wear a hei matau (see below) pretty regularly.

DAZZLER: The movie was on it's way and that meant there couldn't be any further discomfort. Outside the fact that Alex's arm was sharing her arm rest on the plush movie seats. If one of them moved their arms slightly they would be touching.
One hour and forty minutes to go and you can flee, Ali thought pulling her feet up onto the chair in front of her. Twenty minutes of the film had gone by and Ali hadn't kept up one bit. Damn it, she thought annoyed with her lack of focus. I'm going to follow Alex to his room and figure out what his problem is!
The light from the door opening alerted Ali to another visitor. With Alex already being here the excitement of anticipation was removed. She didn't really care who it was. It was Iceman, and that was a surprise.
The boy had invited her out to a number of things, but she'd always been hanging out with Longshot. Without Longshot she'd been more available, but Iceman had quit inviting her to things. Or had quit having things to invite her to.
Maybe, socially speaking, it's nice not to have Longshot around. He wasn't really interested in getting to know people. she thought, knowing it wasn't his fault. Having a burden like not knowing his own history caused Longshot to view the important things of life. Making loose friendships and being in a social network wasn't as important to him and Ali knew that. She had understood that. Yet for all her understanding he'd still left her!
[ICEMAN]"Hey Alison? Are you ok? you look, well, not like you really want to see this movie right now?" he asked.
She leaned over towards Bobby and whispered back, "Yea, I've been dying to see this movie - it has Juno in it! I just phased out there for a second and now am completely lost."
[ICEMAN]He looked to the screen, opening the Skittles, offering the bag to Alison. "You want some?" Bobby asked quietly…
Ali's face lit up and a little bit of light came across her pale cheeks. "I love skittles," she whispered, trying not to be too loud for the others. "Thanks!" She took a few from the bag and held them hostage in her palm.
Popping a red one in her mouth she looked over towards Alex. She brushed her hand up his arm and opened her palm to reveal the colorful candy. Moving her hand she silently offered him some of her portion.

DAZZLER: The movie came to it's send scene. Luckily for Dazzler there had been no further embarrassing situations with Powerhouse during the movie. Mostly Ali had spent the time whispering little things to Iceman about the movie.
Finally the big finale came and the huge question was presented. Did the token fall or not? It was a big mystery up for the audience to decide. Ali sat there for a minute slack jawed, completely unsure of what to think! Was it Happily Ever After or not?
Had DiCaprio escaped or was he forever trapped? The movie gave no indication and writers and directors had been tight lipped about their own opinions on the outcome of the movie.
Completely taken back by the movie she turned in her chair and looked to Smoke, Wild Child and Jubilee. "Man, no way! Did you see that?" she was smiling brightly. She had loved every moment of the flick and hoped everyone else had as well. "So, did he make it out or not?"
Dazzler looked to Powerhouse and teased him. "Let me guess, you don't think he made it out, do you, Mister Negativity!"
Looking at the few people in the theater she prompted, "So? Whatcha all think?"

JUBILEE: The movie was finally over; she had sat through the entire thing. Jubilee was a little shocked that she had not gotten up earlier and left. The movie went completely over her head. Most of the time she was wondering what was happening, what was reality and what was a dream, and other times she was dozing off; she could have sworn she fell a sleep for at least Ten minutes. The ending did not help either.
Slouched in her seat with her feet laying on the head rest of the seat in front of her, Jubilee looked to Dazzler with a blank expression, answering her friends question. "I didn't like it" Jubilee said flatly. She placed her hands across her stomach, intertwined her fingers with one another, and just basically relaxed. Her mind was boggling after what she had seen. So many questions were going through her mind; questions she kind of wanted an answer too.
"I didn't get any of it" the firecracker soon added, "what was with the mob at the beginning? Why was Leo, like, yelling at everyone at the warehouse? And what was with that dude that died, but, like, didn't, or was brought back to life, or something. Why did he go through that door and was all like, disappointed, or something, because he tried to be like that one dude? Or what about the beginning and the ending. Leo was all like washing up on shore and he has a discussion with someone. Is that dude he's talking to him? And what was with the ending? I didn't get any of it!"
She ran her fingers through her hair and looked to be a little bored, though she wasn't, she was just relaxed and in thinking mode. Damned those kinds of movies. Always making her think even after it was over!
