Jayne has no realization of how beautiful she is. To her, she will always be the ugly duckling of her early teens. But she has grown into a sleek swan of exquisite loveliness. She wears her wavy brown hair short/medium length, and has been known to alter the color in order to avoid detection by authorities. Her dark brown eyes have been described as 'doe-like' and 'soulful'. She has an animated face, and has a hundred different kind of smiles.

Jayne has a sleek and slender form honed by a lifetime of dance and exercise. Her figure is not voluptuous, but she manages to have curves where they belong. She cannot help but move with a near-supernatural grace. Every movement is fluid and smooth. She seems to be a creature of the air.

NATURE:

PERSONALITY:

Once a very formal and repressed British girl, she's learning to grow in her new life and its opportunities. The freedom she's growing to enjoy is worth the cost she's paid, and then some. She relishes the chance to learn new things or go new places.

She's at her most happy when she's dancing, either on the ground or in the air. Using her powers gives her a invigorating sensation similar to a runner's high.

Jayne is a good and proper British lady, but she's learning to indulge in the once-repressed side of her personality. She is exploring who she is growing into, just like every teenager.

The few weeks Jayne spent as a fugitive from her parents and the authorities was as formative as all the years that came before that. She had to learn how to trust, and who. She trusts her instincts to guide her in most things, having learned they're reliable.

Jayne is kind-hearted and sweet, but not cloyingly so. She loves to have the fun she was robbed of during her younger years. If she has something to share, she will do so happily.

Jayne has no grasp on how beautiful she is, and has no extreme vanity as some lovely women do. She's learning to be more down to earth, and is considering adopting Tinkerbell as a life model.

GOALS:

To never have another mutant experience the things she did from those she most trusted and loved.

To do the most good she can with the gifts she's been granted by fate.

To find happiness in as many forms as she can.

To create a new art form--aerial dance, in order to show the world that great beauty can come from a mutant, not just misery and pain.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

ADVANTAGES:

CHARISMATIC - Jayne has that special quality or appeal about her. There is something compelling about her that people just can't seem to resist. She seems to have a personal attractiveness, charm, or interestingness that enables her to influence others in a positive manner. Jayne has a habit of turning heads where ever she goes. She's stunningly attractive, but is quite unaware of this herself. She still thinks of herself as the ugly duckling rather than the breathtaking swan.

360º PERCEPTION - This gift allows Scamper to sense objects within her telekinetic field's range, allowing her to avoid over-reliance with his/her eyes for seeing his/her environment. Objects grasped by her telekinesis allows her to manipulate and examine it without the use of her five other senses.

CON-GOER - Scamper is completely jazzed about the telekinetic power she possesses and what it can possibly amount to. She can push themselves to their limits as she try to go to new heights in the power, or sustain using it for prolonged periods of time. You would need this in order to push yourself past your current power level. Otherwise you can only push past it when you've developed more skill in your ability and edited your profile to recognize your new potential.

DISCIPLINED - Scamper is a disciplined young woman, both mentally and physically. This allows her to keep her mind sharp and his body in peak physical condition. As well as allowing Scamper to be more intuitive both in class and in Training Sessions, furthermore leading to heightened intelligence, combat skills and achievement.

MATURITY - Despite her relative youth, Scamper is far more mature than others might assume. This maturity can be seen in Jayne's dress sense and manner around people. This means that she is often deemed to be elder than he/she is, particularly by people of authority.

POWERS:

TELEKINESIS - Scamper is able to move solid matter with a thought and can use it to various effects. She gives off a glowing aura when using her ability with long trailing wisps. Current limitations/capacities are listed individually below. She has far more control with smaller amounts of material within her power's effect. She could throw a car clumsily, but she could tie knots in a hundred yards of cable quickly and efficiently.

Scamper is able to shoot blasts of concussive force, which as a means of comparison, she is capable of denting a six inch plate of beryllium and punching through seven inches of solid steel. Jayne can manipulate objects of different sizes and shapes. Long range control isn’t an issue as long as her target is within her 30 meter sphere of effect. The only limitation to her telekinetic capacities is by the restraint of his imagination. However, Scamper can overtax herself into exhaustion and/or unconsciousness.

Scamper prefers to use objects to give her telekinesis focus and control rather than using raw force. She will carry objects that she likes to use, such as ball bearings and other objects she can shape and use.

FORCE FIELD – Scamper can produce force fields of varying size and shape but the easiest for her is a perfect spherical orb. These fields shield her from varying degrees of danger. Its durability is dependent upon the capabilities of others’ attacks. She can use this ability to shield others as well to protect or imprison them. The smaller the field, the more durable it is.

WALL CRAWLING - Using her telekinesis, Scamper can cling to any surface that can bear her weight, no matter how sheer. She can even hang, suspended from the ceiling, providing that it is capable of bearing her weight.

HYPER-LEAPING - Scamper can jump great distances through the use of her telekinesis. By repeated leaps, she can rapidly cover large distances. The distance Scamper can cover is equal to her telekiesis's Strength rank +1 rank. If a lower rank is initially rolled, it must be raised to this level. This is the distances she can safely leap. Innate safeguards in this Power enable her to safely land so as not to injure or break a leg for example. The effect is the same on CN as if he were a Normal Human making a 2 foot leap up or across or descending 3 feet.

The effects on the area Scamper lands on might not be the same as if a normal jump occurred. Consider that the Hulk splinters the pavement when he lands. To determine what sort of effects occur when CN lands, it is with a force equal to that of five times his/her own weight suddenly drops on the surface in question. The actual landspeed varies with the angle of the leaps.

Physical burdens do not decrease Scamper's speed, although they might decrease her control. Anything CN is carrying is also protected by the innate safeguards against damage; Scamper acts as a shock-absorber.

FIGHTING SKILLS:

DANCE- Scamper is skilled with the art of movement. She has years of talent and honed ability with multiple styles of dance. She reduces the difficulty when trying to lessen damage from falls and dodging attacks, if she have sufficient room to move acrobatically. She also have knowledge of injuries and first aid and may make a challenging Agility action to restore a card or the value of a random card in Health to a combatant who fell unconscious during the previous exchange.

EQUESTRIAN - Jayne is very experienced with riding horses in judged competitions and free riding. She spent a significant part of her younger years involved in all manner of competitions and fox hunts. She can use her Agility to control the mount and perform tricks (see Animal Handling).

FAST EXIT - Scamper can attack physically and move to firing distance before any foe can complete an action that affects her. But make sure she is properly analyzed the situation, because if even one of the opponents has an Intellect higher than her Agility, any of her opponents can redirect actions toward her, and she can't dodge any of them.

HISTORY: The science of humanity's past. Specifically, Scamper is well versed in the history of Great Britain. Scamper knows of lessons from past events that may have an impact on the modern day. If she is transported back in time, she can pass for a native of the past time period.

LANGUAGES: Scamper can speak French, Italian, and German nearly as well as she speaks her native tongue.

DISADVANTAGES:

ADDICTION - Jayne struggles with an occasional smoking habit. She's quit many times, but keeps being drawn back into the habit. Her parents smoked, classmates in school and dance class smoked, and she picked up the terrible habit.

ADVERSARY - Jayne's parents love her so much they want to have significant parts of her brain surgically removed in order to make her human again. They have enlisted Scotland Yard in the ongoing search for their daughter. All will be forgiven once she's not one of those...mutant things...anymore.

MORTAL - Scamper is quite susceptible to death.

TRAUMATIZED - Her experience with her parents and the subsequent escape from what she thought was worse than death has scarred her emotionally. She's wary of physicians and medical centers, and has a few trust issues with authority figures.

HISTORY

Jayne was born into a distant wing of one of the families in the British Monarchy. She was groomed by ambitious parents from early childhood to one day marry into a family higher within the hierarchy. She attended the best private schools. She met the right people. She was well on her way towards being what she termed “prince-bait”.

Only her heart was simply not in it. Her parents’ ambitions were far from her own, but she was a good girl and did as she was told. But deep inside, she was desperately unhappy.

Jayne's life was rarely complicated beyond her preparation for life as a lady. She went to school and was an above average student, but her boredom with her future fate kept her from applying herself further than necessary. She did enjoy equestrian training, but not even victories in competition satisfied an inner need that she didn't understand.

Early on, Jayne had devoted herself to dance. She excelled in the best academies in Europe. She felt her inner life blossom when she danced. The only time she truly felt free was on the stage. She was easily good enough to become a prima ballerina somewhere, and ambition began to give her hope to get out from under her parents’ strict control. Jayne even wanted to branch out and explore other styles of dance. Movement was her excitement, her escape.

Jayne found other ways to rebel against her strict parents while at boarding school. She found herself getting involved in a close relationship with another girl. This would have mortified Jayne’s parents had they discovered it. But like so many experimental relationships, this one did not last.

But complications began to arise. Objects began to float about Jayne on their own accord whenever Jayne was upset. Soon enough she began to actually control her new-found ability. That didn't stop her parents from worrying about this new development. In fact, that moved them to urgent, and far more risky, action

Jayne’s deeply concerned parents took her to any number of specialists with mutants, but the only suggestion that seemed to stick with Jayne's assertive father was to have the parts of her brain removed to nip this development in the bud before word got out that a British Royal was a mutant. That would be mortally embarrassing for the family.

The petite Brit got as far as having her beautiful long hair shaved from her head in preparation for the exploratory surgery. Surgical tattoos were etched into her scalp to help guide the surgeons. The complication of Jayne wanting to keep her brain in one piece and her mutant gifts intact was of no consequence to her parents. This revelation strengthened her resolved to act before it was too late.

Using her mutant gifts, Jayne escaped the medical clinic at which she was going to undergo the experimental brain surgery. Fleeing London, she made her way through the mutant underground to safety. Unfortunately, her parents reported her as missing and presumed kidnapped. This made Great Britain an exceedingly difficult place to stay hidden. A missing member of the Royal Family, no matter how distant the connection, drew a great deal of official attention. The Mutant Underground helped Jayne escape to safer shores in the United States.

In the time after her rescue here in America, Jayne has begun to at last to live, free of the strict, controlling ways of her parents. She knew she would make mistakes along the way, but at least they would be her mistakes.

Life was going to be glorious!
