Logan is a man (who appears to be) in his late-30’s who engages in intensive regular regimen of physical activity. He does this, not as an act of vanity or health, but to maintain his physical peek. Thus he is a man of exceptional physical strength and is above all physically and psychologically intimidating. He has never been a ‘slave to fashion’, most of his clothing being purchased second-hand, and usually wears either black or blue jeans, boots, a white t-shirt or wife-beater under a plaid shirt. He is usually unshaven, almost to the point of sporting a full beard, and has been called slightly bestial in appearance. He habitually smokes a cigar while working.

He's been called a killer, a monster, an animal, a wild dog that should have been put down a long time ago. He won't disagree; however, in contrast to his brutish nature, Wolverine is actually extremely intelligent. Due to his increased lifespan, he has traveled the world and amassed intimate knowledge of foreign languages and cultures. To the outside world Logan appears to be a gruff loner, often taking a break from the X-Men to deal with personal issues or problems. He has used this image to protect those from his perceived sins from the past.

He is soft-spoken and laconic, speaking only when necessary, with as few words as possible and despite his apparent ease at taking lives; he does not enjoy killing or giving into his berserker rages, but he will if pressed. Logan adheres to a firm code of personal honor and morality, which has many connections to Samurai Bushido. He is often irreverent and rebellious towards authority figures, though he is a reliable ally and capable leader. He has had romantic relationships with numerous women, and has been a mentor and father figure to several younger women, such as Rogue. He also has a soft spot for people in deep trouble.

ADVANTAGES:

COMBAT REFLEXES - Wolverine has higher and more responsive reflexes, heightened further by the heat of battle. He is a formidable fighter and can react much faster than others when necessary.

DANGER SENSE - Because of his keen senses and lots of experience, Wolverine has a knack for knowing when trouble is coming.

HARD-TO-KILL - For over 100 years people have tried to kill Logan. He's been shot at, poisoned, blown up, and drowned, but he just keeps coming back.

HOLLOW LEG - Either because of a long history of doing so, or an after effect of his mutation, Wolverine can drink just about anyone under the table without feeling the effects of becoming drunk. His regenerative capabilities also ensure his liver has no lasting damage.

POWERS:

ADAMANTIUM SKELETON AND RETRACTABLE CLAWS- Wolverine was born with three retractable bone claws in each arm. Extended, the claws are approximately one foot in length. The claws and Wolverine's entire skeletal structure was coated in Adamantium during his time with Stryker and his men. Adamantium is virtually indestructible but also highly toxic. If Wolverine's healing power ever shuts off, the heavy metal poisoning would kill him in a matter of days.

Control: Ultimate. The claws are used through conscious command. he can extend and retract all or any combination of the three claws on each hand.

FERAL NATURE - This goes hand-in-glove with Wolverine's heightened senses and the claws (mentioned later). Mother Nature seems to have designed him to be the perfect human-type hunter/predator. His feral nature makes him dangerous and unpredictable at times... especially in a fight.

Control: Varies. Logan fights the feral side of his nature constantly. He is prone to uncontrolled berserker rages that can range in intensity to a quick tempered growl and punch to a deadly, insane need to destroy anyone in his vicinity. When pushed over the edge into a true berserker rage, he cannot recognize friend from foe.

HEIGHTENED SENSES - Wolverine's senses are far superior to that of normal Humans. His hearing, eyesight, smell, touch, and taste are all more in the 'animal' range. His senses are comparable to that of a wolf or other 'animal' predators.

Control: Wolverine has exceptional control over his senses of smell, hearing and eyesight. Taste and touch are autonomic and not something he can control.

HYPER BALANCE - Wolverine's heightened agility and animal reflexes make it extremely hard for him to be thrown off balance.

HYPER ENDURANCE - Due to his animalistic tendencies, Wolverine can exert himself to the limit for long periods of time, much exceeding average, before tiring.

REGENERATIVE HEALING FACTOR - If injured or ill, Wolverine's body can heal itself. The time that it takes to heal depends on the severity and nature of the injury. Minor cuts and bruises take only a few seconds. Severe (life-threatening) injuries can take up to several days. In cases where Wolverine has multiple injuries with varying degrees of severity, the healing factor will take care of the life-threatening damage first. Wolverine's healing ability also renders him impervious to most illnesses, drugs and poisons. He is not, however, immortal. The loss or severe damage to life sustaining organs, such as the heart, kidneys, lungs, brain etc. would most likely result in death.

Control: Wolverine has no conscious control over the healing/regenerative ability.

FIGHTING SKILLS:

ASSESSMENT - Wolverine's training in various military organizations allows him an ability to assess a situation and be aware of any immediate difficulty that will prohibit or hinder the task or mission at hand.

COMBAT MASTERY - Due to his extensive training as a soldier, a C.I.A. operative, a samurai, a spy, and a member of the X-Men, Wolverine is an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant, having either mastered or having a working knowledge of virtually every fighting style on Earth.

ESPIONAGE - While subtlety is not his strong suit by any means, Wolverine can do a great many things that would tell of a history of training in Black Ops.

LANGUAGES - Due to his increased lifespan, Logan has traveled the world and amassed intimate knowledge of foreign languages and cultures. He can speak English, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Spanish, Arabic, and Lakota; he also has some knowledge of French, Thai, Vietnamese, German, Italian and Portuguese.

RESIST DOMINATION - Wolverine's mind is a labyrinth that any telepath, even someone as powerful as Charles Xavier would have trouble navigating.

WEAPONS MASTER - Wolverine is versed in the inner workings and mastery of many, many types of guns ranging in caliber and design. While preferring to stick to his claws, Wolverine knows how to use other blades with deadly efficiency.

DISADVANTAGES:

ADVERSARY - Wolverine has made a few enemies throughout his past, the most notable of which are those involved in Weapon X. Simply put, there are a lot of bad people who would like to get a piece of him. But generally he doesn't worry... "Bring em on..."

BARBED TONGUE - Wolverine says what's on his mind, sometimes painfully honestly, other times just outright rudely. This tends to get him in trouble with those of more conservative personalities.

BERSERKER RAGE - Wolverine sometimes lapses into a "berserker rage" while in close combat. In this state he lashes out with the intensity and aggression of an enraged animal, unable to identify friend from foe, and is even more resistant to psionic attack. Though he loathes it, he acknowledges that it has saved his life many times.

CRUDE - Being a loner and a drifter for the better part of the last fifteen years, Wolverine isn't all that concerned with little details like manners. This offends some, but most are too afraid and intimidated to mention it.

NATURAL BORN KILLER - Both as part of his mutation and his military and Weapon X training, Wolverine is especially good at one thing: Making living things dead. He tries to shy away from it whenever possible but... if it needs to be done, he won't hesitate to do so.

UNIQUE PHYSIOLOGY - While his Adamantium skeleton and regeneration would throw most doctors for a loop, the fact that he heals so quickly makes it a pretty self solving situation... he just doesn't need doctors.

UNIFORM:

Wolverine wears standard jeans and a t-shirt along with a cowboy hat and boots.

EQUIPMENT:

Multi-tool - Logan's pocket tool box looks similar to any average one you might find in a hardware or hunting store. But this one, although he isn't sure where he got it, is slightly more high-end... perhaps echoing of government design.

Cell Phone - Common 21st century design, the basic phone that anyone might need in today's society. You'll never catch him 'texting' anyone on this phone.

Cigars - Because of his regeneration ability, Logan will never have to worry about emphysema or lung cancer and he takes advantage of this. It is a rare thing when he is outside of the mansion to see him without a lit cigar in his mouth.

TRANSPORTATION:

Logan has access to most X-Men vehicles that are at the Institute. He also has recently purchased, with his earnings from cage fighting, a Harley Screaming Eagle V-Rod (forest green and chrome).
