HARD TO KILL - Simply put, Black Tom is incredibly difficult to kill. Even when you try to blow him to bits, he has an annoying habit of surviving... somehow.

LEADERSHIP - Though he doesn't often have the opportunity to use it, Tom is a very capable leader.

POKER FACE - Black Tom is totally unflappable when it comes to keeping a straight face or holding on to information. No one knows what he is thinking or how he is feeling. In some cases, Tom can also evade lie detectors and keep his body in sync even when nervous.

POWERS:

BIO-ORGANIC/THERMOKINETIC BLASTS - Black Tom is a mutant with the superhuman power to generate blasts of bio-organic force or heat. He uses a wooden shillelagh (a kind of Irish cane) to help him project the blasts, since woods acts as a focus for his power. It is not known whether there is anything unusual about his shillelagh, or how well, if at all, he can use his power without focusing it though wood. No upper limit has yet been observed as to the power of the energy blast he can project. He can wreak considerable damage with the force blast, and can melt metal with focused heat blasts.

IMMUNITY - Black Tom is immune to the sonic abilties of his cousin Sean (Banshee) and niece Theresa (Siryn), and they are similarly protected from his powers.

FIGHTING SKILLS:

COMBAT STYLE (Brawling) - This skill lets Tom inflict damage when using fists, teeth, or any other natural attack. These actions (bites, eye gouges, kidney punches, and so on) are generally frowned upon in heroic circles. Tom will also use his shillelagh as a weapon if he needs to.
