NATURE: |

PERSONALITY: |
| Blanche is a woman who has fallen in love with the stereotypically portrayed, 'literary 21st century woman’, with a note of the antiquated about her. She loves putting forward her superior knowledge about Classic works, and has a habit of professing knowledge she doesn’t have; it could be said she’s something of a dreamer, investing all her energy in creating a public face which has no basis in reality. Oh, gosh, she’s been to Bangkok and eaten at the same table as an elephant, oh, and she was captured by Inuits who tried to steal her blubber…
The truth is, she’s a rather ordinary woman of ordinary intellect, perhaps even dim, who bases her intelligence quotient on random trivia, which she’ll spout in completely irrelevant situations.
She also has a enigmatic ‘book’, which she’s been writing for years, but which she never speaks about. Random things people say will elicit the response, “Oh, how lacanian! I shall put that in my book!” What this book is about, how far along it is, or if it even exists is a complete mystery. |

SPECIAL ABILITIES
ADVANTAGES: |
| CAT NAP - Miss Peacock can nap for small periods of time throughout the day, all the lesser moments of rest making up for a larger whole; she ‘recharges her batteries’.
CURIOSITY - Miss Peacock is incurably curious, but for large things. She’s not bothered, say, if one of the students is having a relationship, but if the student is having a relationship with a tutor, she’s all over it like a weasel in an apple sack. She’s also dangerously attracted to private files and hush-hush goings on; she can sniff a potential conspiracy from thirty yards.
INTERNAL CLOCK - Miss Peacock’s seemingly random existence is actually played out by rote; she knows it’s 5pm when she’s hungry for dinner, it’s 11 pm when she’s tired for bed, and so it goes. Her morning coffee starts the cycle and her goodnight cocoa ends it.
MECHANICAL APTITUDE - Though she hides it extremely well, Miss Peacock has an incredible ability to divine the inner workings of motor vehicles; it’s not ladylike, nor does it fit her self-perception, but boy can she turn a car engine inside out. |
FIGHTING SKILLS: |
| COUNTERFEITING - A little titbit of knowledge she picked up in her youth; how to forge, and not only that, how to make it look official. Her knowledge includes forging signatures, official documents, pattern recognition and their order and, most importantly, legal tender IE; money.
FAST EXIT - There’s no escaping it, the woman can hightail it out of danger like a cat on hot bricks; she seems to have a sixth-sense about where the fastest and most safety-efficient exit is.
STREETWISE - Miss Peacock knows the ways of the street, its dangers and its pitfalls, better than most. Still, it’s almost a passive knowledge for her, almost as if it’s just a vague imprint of what is and is not wise to do in a dangerous, high-crime area. |
DISADVANTAGES: |
| COMBAT IMCOMPETENCE - No, she can’t fight to save her life. Literally. She can slap, pull and squeal and that’s about as far as it goes.
CONVICT - Miss Peacock has been in a French prison in her past. It’s still on her record, though it’s the only thing marring her otherwise perfect record.
DARK SECRET - Like all the non-mutant teaching staff at the Institute, Miss Peacock has a dark secret; her past is embroiled in illegitimacy and crime, along with a shaky upbringing. |
